What is a Class Rep?
A Class Representative is a part-time, voluntary role. Their role is to represent student voice, and as a Class Rep they must:
Anyone can be a class rep in their own course/department; Class Reps are students who are elected by their peers to represent all students in their particular class. He/she is in post for one year but has the opportunity to be re-elected the following year.
A class rep provides consistent, well-informed opinion about the quality of teaching and learning on their course, and also on the overall student experience gained whilst at College.
Why should I want to be a class rep? - The benefit of being a class rep!
Training sessions set by CCSU teach you important and valuable skills such as how to participate in meetings, and how to best represent your peers.
